[[ロスローリエン]]の[[シルヴァン・エルフ>シルヴァン]]の女性で、[[アムロス]]の恋人の名。
[[モリア]]に[[バルログ]]が現れて[[ドワーフ]]が追い散らされた後、ロスローリエンも危険になったと思われたため、ニムロデルは[[アムロス]]と結婚して、共に[[至福の国]]へと去る約束をした。だが、（恐らく[[ゴンドール]]の[[エアルニル二世]]王の治世の動乱のため）ニムロデルはアムロスと離れ離れになって（[[エレド・ニムライス]]で？）行方不明になり、アムロスの乗る西方へ向かう船に来ることはなかった。
その後彼女の住んでいた土地の川は、[[ニムロデル>ニムロデル（地名）]]と名付けられた。
